After a lengthy planning process, Langham Homes has been granted approval to build 40 new apartments and houses in Hurst Lane. Half of the homes will be affordable and will help to address the severe shortage of affordable housing in Elmbridge.
The approved scheme was revised from the original proposal and opens up more space for local use and ensures the development will retain as much of the original open parkland character along Hurst Lane as possible.
The approved scheme is a ‘low density’ development and includes the objective of bringing as much of the currently unused land back into space for community use. The consent includes provision for open parkland, mini football pitch, children’s play area and outdoor gym.
Langham Homes is well known in the local area and has developed several successful schemes in East Molesey, Esher and Walton-on-Thames. They have built a reputation for delivering a high-quality product and for ensuring good community relations.
Tony Pidgley, Managing Director of Langham Homes commented, “We are delighted to have achieved permission for this scheme. Our aim for this development has always been to create superb homes whilst enhancing the local surroundings and facilities for the local community. We are confident that we will be able to deliver on this objective”.
