Hardworking NHS junior doctor Zsaki Sidhu who’s 32 has recently purchased his first home at Langham Homes’ popular Pavilion Park development in Hurst Lane, East Molesey. By utilising the government’s Help to Buy scheme, he was able to move into a stunning two-bedroom apartment ideally situated close to the town centre and the River Thames. But his purchase did not come without obstacles that could have cost Zsaki his dream home but fortunately Langham Homes was there to support him every step of the way.
Zsaki explains:” The presence of the coronavirus pandemic over the past year has been extremely challenging for many of us especially for those like myself who are working in a highly pressurised NHS environment. Using Help to Buy was of great financial assistance for me as a doctor still immersed in rotational training but unfortunately the pandemic has had a negative impact on this scheme. Involvement within Help to Buy is normally concluded within a week or so but the large influx of buyers wanting to use it and also take advantage of no stamp duty has caused long administration delays. My sign up took two months to progress and I was so worried that this delay would have a detrimental effect on my prospective purchase that I spoke to Langham Homes directly to explain my predicament.
I was so relieved that Langham Homes was happy to agree to give me extra time to progress the sale as I had my heart set on this location being easily commutable to Kingston Hospital where I work and Isleworth where I used to live and where my family and friends are. In my spare time I am a keen cook and Langham Homes even installed a gas hob at my request as I prefer its functionality as opposed to an electric one. I would like to give a special mention to Lesley Pidgley who provided me with an exceptional level of service throughout the entire process.
Thankfully I was able to move into my new home last December and am looking forward to my first summer here to take advantage of all the recreational space on offer and the proximity to the River”.
Lesley Pidgley, Director of Langham Homes comments: “We were absolutely delighted to be able to offer Zsaki the reassurance that we would give him the extra time he needed to exchange on his new property. Key workers like Zsaki have worked tirelessly on the front-line during this pandemic to care for people in need and we’re truly inspired by their unwavering commitment. We are thrilled that Zsaki is so happy in his new home and hope that he will enjoy it for many years to come”.
